Well, not really, but I want to try and talk about how awesome Twitter is.

Think back… ten years even. You are a BIG fan of… Hanson. Or whoever. How do you contact them?

Well, you can send them a letter through the mail. Or maybe they have a cool little guestbook on their website. You can leave them a comment there, and it’ll sit there with all the spambots. Maybe a few days later, they’ll upload a new .html file to their website with a generic response “Hey fans, we love you too! ~Hanson”

Now, we have Twitter. You want to tell Justin Bieber you’re in love with him?

Type this “@justinbieber I LOVE YOU! FOLLOW ME PLEASE <3" and just maybe, ten minutes later, "RT @yourname @justinbieber I LOVE YOU! FOLLOW ME PLEASE <3 == FOLLOWED. Love you too!!" will appear on Justin's Twitter.

Warner Brothers hosts an HOUR long contest, during which they get hundreds of entries. All you have to do is say "@HarryPotterFilm I'd probably be a Hufflepuff, because I'm one of those that Helga would just take, cuz no one else was interested :P" and you win.

Twitter has taken the world from living minute-to-minute to living second-by-second. So much happens - just watch the trending topics - and it's easy as pie to follow it all.

The reason I'm talking about this is because yesterday, I sent a message to these people and they ALL replied.
@jamesarobb - a teen singer from the UK. I let him know his layout had a problem, and he thanked me for it.
@gudmagazine - asked their followers what was up... and I answered. We ended up talking about eBooks vs real books
@haperkins - Has a book coming out in the future, and we talked about it (and how hard it was for me to find info haha) and she said I should go to bed, cuz I had been up so long.

And then randomly, I get followed by @therealsnichols, who's a PUBLISHED author. She's got a period book (admittedly, not my thing, but I may check it out nonetheless) which is sold on Amazon. And today we’ve been talking about Hanson.

Who, by the way, now have a Twitter. So if you want to let them know you love ‘em, you can message @hansonmusic – so go and have fun. @therealsnichols is also sending me some of their music. I’m excited to hear their new stuff.

Oh, and Justin? He let his fans know via his Twitter that the Baby music video will be available tomorrow. Fucking yes.

So instead of doing something useful, like maybe writing more of my story, I played around with the site. I probably will write more in the next few weeks, as my hours have been drastically cut. In the newest schedule, I only got 12 :’( Which is a HUGE drop from the 40 I worked last week.

Oh well.

Anyways, I added a shoutbox. Not that anyone will ever use it except me :P I also changed the countdown from Percy movie to Justin Bieber’s new CD :-D

I’ve also added a page about hosting here. I don’t do much, but hey, if it brings a few bucks to my pocket, sure, I’ll share the server.

Speaking of the server -- Wikimon is back up! And we have a MUCH more powerful processor now, plus 4GB of ram! We are looking pretty damn sweet now :D

In some respects, it’s been a very eventful day. In others, not so much.

Percy fandom is pretty dead right now – just people posting stills from the revamped website. Like we can’t visit it ourselves… -.-

BUT, there is a new website that seems to have popped up – Half Blood Web which looks promising. I’ll be keeping an eye on it. Also, it appears that Percy Quest has been revamped since I last checked it out…

So I dunno why but I am ttly in a translating mood tonight (well, today I guess… it’s 4:30am)

I translated two more of the HSM:ED songs, Actuar, Bailar, Cantar and El Verano Terminó.

I also updated the Percy/Nico list with 3 more stories that I found on ffn ♥ It’s also been renamed “A List of Percy/Nico Love” but I’ve left the url the same for those that possibly bookmarked it.

I also did some general housekeeping around the blog… I updated the book I’m reading, got rid of the NaNo thing and took the silly TweetMeme thingy off some of the pages (I have to use a custom field, whatever the fuck that is)

But I think that’s about it. There’s a poll on Shamisen about Bieber’s Baby. Lemme know whatcha think. I’ll leave you with some Bieber here.

Uhm, so uh, I’ve been listening to a lot of Bieber. Especially Love Me.

What do you all think?

Am I the only one that has noticed that some of his songs are a little… interesting? As in, hinting at stuff that shouldn’t be hinted at?

I mean, for instance, look at the lyrics to Bigger. Or First Dance. I don’t think they’re talking about what they say they’re talking about.

It just seems… well, I’ve had multiple people I’ve asked agree with me. Am I just looking too far into an innocent singer’s lyrics, or are they fucking with us like the Disney animators?

But I really enjoyed reading this article about him. He’s a good kid deep down. ♥ And his twitter is a lot of fun.

LOL, so I posted about this kid the other day, right?

Well, apparently, yesterday he was planning on doing a mini performance and meet-some-fans deal at a mall. Well, apparently, there was some HUGEASS mob that showed up, like THOUSANDS of fans.

Needless to say, it got cancelled. Crowd control had to be called. Some mom broke her arm, and now one of Justin’s in-charge people is in custody cuz he refused to tweet, telling the rabid fans to go home.

The poor kid (who is apparently much more popular than I first assumed) isn’t at fault here, it’s just that his fans are idiotic little 10 year old girls (who were spotted at the mall alone) who can’t learn to you know, control yourself. Go have your fangasm elsewhere, please, and behave when you’re at the mall and are about to meet one of your favorite singers.

Am I gonna have to make a Justin Bieber category? Lawl

So in an effort to try and understand my sister’s taste in music a bit more, I’ve been attempting to listen to a local radio station KDWB. They fall more into the hip-hop poppy kinda stuff, rather than the (soft) rock that I normally listen to.

One of the singers on there happens to be some kid named Justin Bieber. The only reason I even looked it up is because I rather liked the lyrics to his song “One Less Lonely Girl” and wanted to check the video. It’s rather cute -- ranks up there with Plain White Tee’s 1234 in the “Awww” department.

Anyways, I thought I’d share this new talent, who appears to have gotten his start on YouTube. Whatcha know?

And then here’s his “main” song, One Time. First one is the official music video, second is an acoustic version that I actually rather liked. He does have a decent natural voice, which is better than most artists out there can say :-)

Here’s an old one, from before he got noticed. It’s a cover of “Angel” by Sarah Mclachlan and you can tell he’s still not great XD

OMG, another old one, where he’s singing Respect. His dancing makes me laugh. :3

Here’s a Lifehouse cover. I am a pretty big fan of Lifehouse, and I have to say that his version rather sucks… it’s too fast. But he tries, so that’s okay.

I didn’t look at rest of his videos, he covers a lot of songs that I simply do not know. HOWEVER. HOWEVER. There is one there that is beyond win. Beyond win.

Why? Because it’s from one of my favorite movies :)

YES! August Rush! That is a really epic scene, and I love the soundtrack for the movie. (Both, actually. The instrumental and the one with the vocal songs on it. Did you know there are two?)
