I Voted

And the two things that I cared about, the way I voted is the way they went through.

Obama won and the marriage amendment failed :D

All Time Low

This is a low kick to the nuts.

Since I have started this blog (yes, STARTED) I have had 3,000 more visits to the Percy/Nico page than I have had to the homepage.

WTF.

:(

So, I might have stuff to post soon

o_O So, tonight for class I had to write an anecdote AND a poem.

WTFage.

We’re gonna go over the anecdotes in class tomorrow and get peer feedback, so I’ll wait to post those. However… I did post the poem here.

It’s… bleh. I don’t like poetry. D:

I also changed my currently reading to House on Mango Street. If I ever write a novel, I would like it to be similar in style. I am adoring the style. <3 Could y’all imagine my writing style like that? =D

October 20th

I could write a long post, since this is a topic pretty close to me, obviously, but I won’t. Because people won’t read it D: And I’d rather capture the eye of three people with a short post than just one with a long post, because that one person would be Priscilla. ~_~

On October 20th, wear purple. Why? Here’s the FB event, but basically it’s because of the recent gay teen suicides.

On October 20th, 2010, we will wear purple in honor of the 6 gay boys who committed suicide in recent weeks/months due to homophobic abuse in their homes and at their schools. Purple represents Spirit on the LGBTQ flag and that’s exactly what we’d like all of you to have with you: spirit.

If you’re not familiar with the topic (and if so, shame on you) then you can read a bit about it here and here.

So, please, next Wednesday… wear purple. I’ll be decked out in it, for sure.

A quick orgy of links

So here’s a quick list of links to appease you:

Tower Prep looks interesting. I saw an ad for it when I was watching On Demand, and I’m looking forward to it. :)

I’m looking forward to seeing Logan in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, costaring with the lovely Emma Watson. ♥ Link’s for a fan-made poster.

The details are out for the Ramona and Beezus DVD/BluRay. Lots of goodie extras, but the price tags kinda make me go @_@. Here’s to hoping that Walmart is cheaper, because we all know that Borders won’t be.

Good ole Brandon alerted me to a great notice regarding Seseme Street on which Katy Perry was supposed to guest star. It’s an amazing clip, watch it.

So that’s it. Just a foursome. Kinda hot if it’s all guys. ♥ Is “link” masculine or feminine in Spanish? Hmmmmm…

Stand Up to Cancer

If you haven’t seen this PSA yet, you’re missing out.

I know from experience – my grandmother had various forms, my great aunt died from it, my dad is terminally ill with it…

So yeah, I agree with this ad. It’s a really good one, taking a lot of young Hollywood and putting them in an anti-cancer ad… like Logan says in the behind the scenes, educate ourselves.

So yeah, nice job guys. And Zac, that face in the elevator… priceless. For everything else, there’s MasterCard. (I’ve been having the “…priceless {mastercard blip}” stuck in my brain for awhile now D:)

Emma & Logan to star together?

Emma Watson and Logan Lerman are in talks to star in indie coming-of-age drama “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” set up at John Malkovich’s Mr. Mudd.
“Perks of Being a Wallflower” author Stephen Chbosky will direct from his own script with Lianne Halfon, Malkovich and Russell Smith producing.

For Watson, the casting would mark her first feature role outside her work as Hermione Granger in Warner Bros.’ eight “Harry Potter” films. Final pic, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II,” is set for release in July 2011.

She appeared in 2007 telepic “Ballet Shoes” and voiced Princess Pea in 2008′s “The Tale of Despereaux.”

Lerman, who starred in “Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief,” has been cast as D’Artagnan in Paul W.S. Anderson’s version of “Three Musketeers” for Constantin.

“Perks,” which was published in 1999, is narrated by a shy and unpopular teenager who describes his life by writing a series of letters to an anonymous person and explores the awkward times of adolescence, including drug use and sexuality.Book has been on the American Library Assn.’s list of the 10 most frequently challenged for reasons including the treatment of drugs, sex and suicide.Watson and Lerman are repped by WME.

This is amazingness for a couple of reasons.
1) Emma
2) Logan
3) Author of the book writing AND directing the adaption
4) Wallflower being made into a movie
5) 1-4 in the same instance

Though I’m really hoping that it’s not Logan staring as Charlie. He’s simply too old for the role – Charlie is supposed to be this super innocent little 14 year old. Logan’s acting is… decent, but I don’t think he could pull that off. Playing a 16-year-old Percy (which, I might add, still pisses me off) was bad enough – I doubt we can cover a 14 year old.
